QCP: Community News - Breonna Taylor’s Justice - State & Local cover up - Feds “investigation”

QCP: Community News - Breonna Taylor’s Justice - State &  Local cover up - Feds “investigation”

By Candace L. Smith

I ran across the news report that gave an update on the Feds investigation into her suspicious death. The state and local governments displayed ignorance in understanding how she was suspiciously shot dead by police acting on a warrant. When the news first dropped it was during the height of George Floyd’s death and there was a lot of outrage over another black body dying by the hands of white PD officers.

Taylor’s case got a lot of attention as it should have and many people questioned the validity of the warrant bc people were able to see Taylor’s life documented through social media and verified by her family that she was a law abiding citizen. There was no reason for her to be involved in a warrant. When it resulted in her death people never forgot. Especially her mother and close family. They continued to advocate for justice for her life. Eventually a federal investigation was opened up and after months there’s an update which resulted in four of the officers involved being charged. What I want to discuss in this video is the importance of advocating for the people in your family and community. If Breonna Taylor’s mother would have accepted the state and local assessment there would be no justice but she continued to rally for her daughter even though there was not a lot of continued public support.

QCP: Community News (Video)
Check out this video discussing the son that turned his father into the Feds for participating in the January 6th Capitol riots. There's a newsclip included of the sisters and mother's response.

People were no longer saying her name and I rarely see her picture come across my social media even though there was months of her smiling pictures throughout my news feeds on several social media platforms. But because of the persistence of her mother and lawyer and other advocating with her the feds got involved and a proper investigation took place. Another thing I discuss in this video is the relationships between the state local and federal governments. I talk about why the police was able to falsify information for a warrant and almost get away with it up to state level. The relationship that the state and local government agencies have to keep with each other for federal monies and positions put them into positions where they will cover up certain poor behavior by their fellow officers and the people that work internally within these systems. When the federal government gets involved the relationship changes because they are not as connected to state and local agencies. The length of time of this investigation was not to uncover the truth. They knew the truth very early on.

QCP: Church News: The Bishop, The Blogger & The Community

The time of the investigation was spent figuring out how to communicate to the community how people sworn to serve and protect the community used their positions of power to lie and it resulted in an innocent woman’s death. They have to prepare for the community’s response and they wanted to wait for the outrage to slow down. I’m glad that her mother never slowed down and she was determined to get her daughter justice. It’s going to be interesting to see what sentence they will receive for these crimes. What do you think about the federal investigation results? How much time do you think the officers should receive? Who else should be held accountable? The D.A? Who signed off on the warrants? Should they be held accountable as well? Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Please like and subscribe so that you’ll be notified when I post a new video.
Peace.

More information comes out about Tik Tok ban.

More information comes out about Tik Tok ban. The potential TikTok ban in the U.S. has stirred up a lot of emotions, especially for those who rely on the platform for entertainment, connection, or even income. Earlier this year, many were caught off guard by the possibility of losing access to the app, as Congress cited concerns about its impact on teenagers. Recent documents reveal that TikTok was aware of the platform’s addictive nature and its harmful effects, particularly on young users, which adds a new layer to the conversation. It’s alarming to see that not only was the platform aware of these issues, but the harm was reportedly intentional. From my experience as a TikTok user, I can agree that the platform can have negative effects, even when the content itself seems harmless or positive. Spending too much time on any app can be damaging, especially when it pulls you in without you realizing how much time you’ve spent. It’s a reminder that we all need to be mindful of how ...

Black Men Address Kamala Harris + Roland Martin discussion with Black Men + A Black Woman's Response

Black Men Address Kamala Harris + Roland Martin discussion with Black Men + A Black Woman's Response Watch the video and check out my response below.  Share your thoughts in the comment section. In response to the discussions presented in both videos, Roland Martin’s pushback against the narrative that black women in political power neglect black men’s needs highlights the complex relationship between gender, politics, and accountability within the black community. Martin’s insistence on relying on data, particularly regarding education and resource distribution, emphasizes that many of these claims may not be rooted in fact but in perception. It points to a larger conversation about how black men and women experience and navigate systems differently, though they are often impacted by similar forces. The TikTok video responds more directly to the lack of accountability some black men display, calling out the cyclical nature of excuses. The woman in the video argues that black men ...
