Earlier this year, many were caught off guard by the possibility of losing access to the app, as Congress cited concerns about its impact on teenagers. Recent documents reveal that TikTok was aware of the platform’s addictive nature and its harmful effects, particularly on young users, which adds a new layer to the conversation. It’s alarming to see that not only was the platform aware of these issues, but the harm was reportedly intentional.
