People that are in recovery for alcohol and drugs are often encouraged to try rehab. Depending on the severity of the situation, they are not encouraged sometimes they are required to go into rehab. That is because they understand the importance of a new environment when it comes to the healing/recovery journey.

Well, I know that I'll get through this
'Cause I know that I am strong
A rehabilitation center puts you in a different environment that maximizes your potential for recovery. The new environment is key though. It's so important to change it up in your life sometimes. I have a friend that loves to change up her house furniture arrangements. I swear I will go to her house one day and be blown away by her decor and then a week later I will return to be blown away again. She loves to switch it up.
During a rough time in my life, she began to encourage me to switch somethings up in my environment. I didn't immediately take her up on that suggestion, but life eventually made me do it anyway. My home had some plumbing issues, and several pieces of furniture was ruined. I was forced to reset my entire room and that motivated me to do that to the rest of my house. I immediately felt better, slept better and was in a better state of mind to create.
Music is so powerful that it can create a new energy within you and around you. I recognize this with Cher' song "Believe." This song is a powerful anthem of reclaiming your power and of hope. More than anything else you have to have hope if you want to change anything in your life. Sometimes all you need is a few moments of feeling and experiencing that hope to transport you into a new way of thinking, feeling and being.
After love, after love After love, after love After love, after love After love, after love After love, after love After love, after love
No matter how hard I try You keep pushing me aside And I can't break through There's no talking to you
It's so sad that you're leaving It takes time to believe it But after all is said and done You're gonna be the lonely one, oh
Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough, no Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough, no
What am I supposed to do? Sit around and wait for you? Well, I can't do that And there's no turning back
I need time to move on I need a love to feel strong 'Cause I've had time to think it through And maybe I'm too good for you, oh
Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough, no Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough, no
Well, I know that I'll get through this 'Cause I know that I am strong And I don't need you anymore I don't need you anymore Oh, I don't need you anymore No, I don't need you anymore
Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough, no Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough, no
Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough, no Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough, no
Surveillance Pricing: The Hidden Cost of Your Personal Data Have you ever noticed that prices seem to fluctuate depending on how and where you shop? Maybe you’ve used Instacart or another grocery delivery app and found that the price of your favorite milk online is higher than what you’d pay in-store. At first, these small discrepancies might seem like an unavoidable part of online shopping. But what if I told you that businesses might be charging you more based on who you are? Surveillance pricing is a practice where companies use personal data—such as your age, gender, income level, or even your location—to adjust the prices you see. Essentially, what you pay for everyday items could depend on what retailers assume you can afford. A recent Federal Trade Commission (FTC) study revealed how this type of pricing discrimination is becoming more common, with companies using advanced algorithms to analyze consumer behavior and set prices accordingly. For example, someone shopping in a low...
The Ones Closest to You Can Hurt You the Worst. It’s cold down here in sunny Florida so I’m bundled up at the office, but I had to share something that came across my mind. I thought about a conversation I had with a friend years ago. I didn’t quite get to finish my thought, but I said all of this to say, “when someone shows you who they are believe them the first time.” Thank you, Maya Angelou. Sometimes the ones closest to you and know you best are the ones they can hurt you the most because they have the information. They know you. If you’ve been in relationship (friend or family or romantic) for a long time they understand the things that can hurt, you through trial and error. It’s never an accident when they scare you with spiders when you’ve told them you’re afraid of them. They know what to do to move you emotionally and sometimes it’s only for their sick and twisted enjoyment. It’s not friendship and it never was. And when they show you that, even in a “joke” trust and...
